Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) was selected to host the East Africa, Pan Africa University Institute of Basic Sciences, Technology and Innovation because of its facilities and equipment, thus best suited for offering postgraduate education and research, Prof Sam Ongeri, Minister of Education has said.
The minister who was speaking during the closing ceremony of the Pan African University at Nairobi said JKUAT was selected after rigorous vetting by selected experts from the continent and beyond to beat other competitors from the entire continent who had expressed interest to host the institute.
