Two friends took a journey
A journey of life.
Thru the same path of life:
Divergent it was in the heart.
When the other did wrong to him:
He wrote on the sands of time.
When he did good to him:
He incised the deed in the rocks of life.
The other was concerned to ask:
Why?
On sands for the winds of time to wash,
To forgive and forget.
On the rocks to remain forever,
To thank and remember.
The two friends walked home safely
With melded hearts.
